Race Results from April 12, 2025 – 50’s/60’s Ninco LeMans and Fly 1960’s LeMans at Nigelstone Raceway

Hi folks,

April 12, 2025 – Nigelstone Raceway – 50’s/60’s Ninco LeMans and Fly 1960’s LeMans.

It was a splendid day of racing at Nigelstone hosted by Nigel on his 4-lane plastic track with the two tricky crossovers.

In the first race with the Ninco ‘50s cars, Tom won it by just about a lap over Walter, with Eddie about a half lap back in third. Tim Fleenor was fourth, and Kevin clinched fifth.

The second race was the debut of the Fly ’70s cars with the new, improved rear ends: Slot.it axle, bushings, spur gear, and metal wheels covered in NSR tires. They were fast and smooth, but it led to more crashes. Tim Fleenor took the Gold by over two laps over Walter who best Eddie in third by three-tenths of a lap. Rob was fourth, and Tom rounded out fifth.

It was a fun day with 21 racers that ran smoothly with the help of various club members. Thanks to Nigel for hosting! The next race is in two weeks at Electric Dreams on the Cunningham track with NSR F1 and Racer Sideways Group 5. (NOTE: for this race only you should put the Slot.it weight in FRONT of the motor, not under the rear axle).
