Special thanks to Nigel for hosting, and Thomas Lauffenberger for taking care of computer setup and data entry.
Thanks also to Thomas for providing a detailed account of the event written by former club member (and current Farrout Arizona club member) Thomas Lauffenberger, who has the distinction of having written many erudite Race Reports when he was a member, plus no doubt having the record for most club points using the loaner cars.
Enjoy!

Race Report by Thomas Lauffenberger
November 29, 2025 – Slot.It DTM Gp A:
The third-to-last meeting in the 2025 FSCC season took place at yours truly’s favorite track in the rotation, Nigelstone, and the action following didn’t disappoint, especially noting that there were six—count ‘em, six—people who were either brand-new racers or had only raced once or twice previously with the club, an encouraging sign for club growth.
As a result, there were 23 eager souls hankering to try their skill—and no need to deal with prequalifying since we don’t have a 107% rule! Early arrivals were drafted into assisting solution of the usual track
gremlins, which Nigel successfully eradicated by performing shiatsu massage (“shi-SLOT-su?”) on the crossover track pieces to restore the juice.
Sadly, this report was only an afterthought once the first race was finished, so details of round-by-round highlights are spotty; furthermore, your humble author was suffering from the automotive equivalent of jet lag, which a day trip from the Phoenix metro area will induce.
Therefore, we’ll cut to the chase so you may see the
table straightaway.

Then the fun truly ensued as the open-wheelers took the track, and the usual hip-checking from rubber-to-rubber contact was constant, with the attendant track calls; it was a good thing that the club’s resident teacher held court before the race to instruct the newbies in how to
marshal cars, when to call for stoppage, and so on, which they dutifully performed.
Two standout moments are remembered by your scribe, though not who did them; there was more than one instance where a car was punted harder than an NFL kicker (or AFL kicker for our fearless leader, SFJ), such that it left the enclosure completely, once hitting the ground (but surviving), and once caught miraculously (and without reflex) by Tom Giese, who displayed such skill saving the car that, had he been in Las Vegas on that fateful day, would have spared Dan Wheldon—all of this observed by your humble reporter from the Stan Smith Memorial Marshalling Position, the crossover pieces, which kept those in the vicinity properly occupied.
(For those who teach English, try diagramming THAT sentence! Those club members who have read previous reports of mine may have to explain some of this.)
Alleged humor aside, the table for Round 41 NSR Formula 1:
