Race Results from January 24, 2026 – Sideways Group 5 and NSR Formula 1 at Nigelstone Raceway

Hi folks,

Nigel as usual was a gracious host and e had a great day of racing with several people new to Nigel’s 4-Lane Scalextric Sport Nigelstone and 3 new racers. Rob S (2nd time), Elliot, Frankie and Daniel joined us for the first time and all did very well, while Jason did well on his first visit to Nigelstone.

Our next race is at Richards next Saturday Jan 31st when we will run the 2 Slot.it classes.

Tom, Eddie and Chris swept the podium in that order in both races, reflecting their great driving skills and lack of mandatory drinking 🙂 Without any intention of diminishing their achievements I will highlight some other notable results.

In Sideways 1970s Group 5 we had not 1, not 2 but 3 ties for placings! Kit and Elliot tied for 9th place on 77.3 laps and just 1/10th of lap behind that David R and Tim H tied for 11th meaning e had 4 racers split by 1/10th of a lap after 12 mins of racing! Additionally David M and Jason tied for 15th place. Jim W and SFJ took 4th and 5th and special mention of Elliot who grabbed the aforementioned well deserved 9th as newbie to the club, albeit on his Dads track 🙂

In NSR F1 Nigel grabbed a 4th on his home track, Dennis stepped up to 5th and Elliot backed up his 9th place with a 10th.
